Kiddie Keep Well Camp 2021 Grand Opening of the New Health Lodge

Since 1924, Kiddie Keep Well Camp has offered Middlesex County children medical exams, dental hygiene education, and proper, well-balanced nutrition during multiple summer sessions. In addition, campers enjoy recreational activities, swimming, music, games and sand arts & crafts. But the years have taken a toll on the aging structure.

With the new medical facility in place, camp goers will be able to receive on–site health checkups.

The community came together in 2020 and 2021 to build a brand-new Health Lodge on the campus located at Middlesex County’s Roosevelt Park in Edison. Bill Leary Air Conditioning and Heating of Metuchen donated the air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment and installation.

The new building has improved conditions for the nurses on staff, who work there 24/7 as well as improve overall conditions for campers and staff, said Executive Director Cindy Robertson.

“This project provided us the opportunity to support our local community”, said Tracey Leary.
